Joshua Collinsworth is a Director of Photography based in Dallas, Texas, and the founder of Collinsworth Creative. A native Texan, he recently returned to Dallas after more than 16 years living and working in Los Angeles, bringing with him a breadth of experience shaped by one of the world’s most competitive production markets.

He specializes in documentary, narrative, and commercial filmmaking, with a focus on grounded, cinematic storytelling that feels real, intimate, and visually intentional.

With a hands-on background in camera, lighting, audio, and grip, Joshua brings a practical, problem-solving approach to every production. Whether working with a full crew or running a lean documentary setup, he’s known for creating high-quality visuals in fast-moving environments without sacrificing story or authenticity.

His work is driven by a belief that strong visuals should serve the truth of the story—not distract from it. That philosophy carries through his projects, including documentary and editorial work that explores culture, belief systems, and human behavior.

Through Collinsworth Creative, Joshua collaborates with brands, producers, and directors to bring stories to life with clarity, mood, and purpose. He is available for travel and production work nationwide.
